Pepper chicken wrap

Pepper chicken wrap is a simple dish that you can make with left over chapatis. It is an easy way to sneak in veggies for your picky eater. Its a perfect 'after-school-meal' for a hungry kid. The same filling can be used for sandwiches and spring rolls. If you have left over chicken pieces in a curry, dig it out and use it directly in this wrap. Else, you need a small chicken breast piece to make two mighty wraps.

Preparation time- 20 mins
No of wraps- 2 nos
Ingredients

Chapati- 2 nos
Egg- 1 no
Chicken- 1 small breast piece
Capsicum- 1/4 no
Carrot- 1/2 no
Onion- 1/2 no
Cabbage- 2 tbsp sliced (optional)
Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Butter- 1 tbsp
Refined Oil- 1 tbsp
Lemon juice- 1/2 tsp
Tomato sauce- 2 tbsp

Method

These were my ingredients. Try to julienne (cutting into thin strips) the veggies and chicken for easy wrapping. Mix chicken with pepper and lemon juice. Keep aside for 10 mins.

Heat oil in a pan. Add chicken strips and fry it. Once the chicken is done, move it to a side and scramble an egg in the pan. Keep the flame low else egg may burn.

Add the vegetables and salt. Keep the flame high and lightly saute the veggies without losing its crunchiness. It may take a minute or two.

Butter the chapati & keep the hot chicken filling in the center.

Add Sauce on top of the filling. You can also try Chilly sauce here. Roll the chapati and Cut it into two (as it is difficult to hold a big stuffed chapati). Serve your Healthy & tasty meal.

PS:-
  • If you are a vegetarian, instead of chicken you can add paneer or Indian Cottage cheese.
