Method
I used thilopia fillets.Any fish can be used. Coarsely grind coconut and green chillys.
Cook fish with tamarind, salt and turmeric powder. Add water required for cooking the fish.
Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced shallots and ginger. Saute till shallots starts changing color.
Add cooked fish and coconut mixture into the pan. Shred the fish using a fork. If you are using a large fish, debone it before adding.
Add curry leaves. Saute the fish for 5- 10 mins. You can remove tamarind if you want, but I liked to keep mine.
Serve it hot with kerala rice and pulisheri
PS:-
  • I am using a standard 250 ml measuring cup.
  • You can add more chillys according to your taste.
